If You Want to Join WA, Read This First

If you’re wondering whether to join Wealthy Affiliate, or maybe you’re searching to check out whether it’s the real deal or just another load of hot air or even worse, a scam, well then this post is for you.

In this article I’m going to share my opinion and experience at WA because I think it will help you get the most out of your free starter membership.

Basically, if you’re looking for somewhere to learn and if you’re happy to put in lots of hard work, then Wealthy Affiliate offers lots of opportunities.

But, there are a few things that could help you decide if it’s right for you or not and save you from wasting time joining if it’s not your thing.

When You First Join WA

It’s easy to join WA without having any real idea of what’s coming ahead, so here I’d like to share a few bits of my advice. This is just my personal opinion from what I’ve experienced myself.

1. Be Realistic

WA is a training campus. It isn’t a magic get-rich-quick-scheme and there isn’t anything on sale except the monthly or yearly membership if you choose to go premium.

It gives you a training that shows you how to build an online business: that’s to say, how to build your website, choose your business niche, create your content, get ranked in Google, use images, create videos etc.

That’s a lot of learning! Learning takes time. This doesn’t happen overnight.

If you were interested in the Affiliate Marketing Degree at WantMore University, you’d be prepared to pay a large sum each year but you wouldn’t expect to get rich in 2 months . . .

Would you?

Approach WA with the same mentality – you’re in it for the long haul.

WA is a complete training at a fraction of the cost, for long term success.

2. Be Prepared

Although you can stay a free member forever, it doesn’t make any sense to do that. The premium membership offers too many advantages to be ignored.

The free membership is very useful though, for trying out the campus to see how you like it.  Make sure when you join that you can dedicate some time in the first week because if you decide to go premium in the first 7 days, you’ll get a 59% discount and your first month will cost you only 19$. Also, you get access to the chat rooms for the first week so it’s worth being prepared to get into it.

If you think you’ll be too busy to put in any action this week, come back and join next week; but be prepared so you can make the most of your first week on the inside.

3. If You Want Success, Commit

If you want to make a living online, you need to take the whole thing seriously (with lots of fun of course) and dedicate time to putting in the work.

It’s no good saying you’re too busy. There’s a lot to be done and a lot to be learnt so be committed and you’ll see the results.

Be Committed

4. Patience is a Virtue

Joining WA is incredibly exciting because you learn so much, and suddenly it seems as though everything you ever dreamt of is coming true! That excitement is great! It fuels you and gives you the drive to succeed. But don’t let that excitement suddenly go pop and turn into disappointment.

Know that you’re very unlikely to start making money immediately. For calendarstarters, Google doesn’t take new websites seriously until they’ve become established, so ranking usually starts somewhere around the 3 month mark.

This can be disappointing if you were expecting quicker results, but if you’re forewarned, you can keep working and be patient.

Successful businesses aren’t built overnight; they need time. An online business is no different – so if you’re going to go for it, be patient, keep going and never give up.

5. Be Happy

This is the most important of all! Be Happy! WA is a happy place so it’s easy to comply with number 5. The whole point is to be happy in your work. And to be free.
